The current 64st has some cool new features such as imagery and GLONAS, but barely enough to see me using it in place of my old 60csx. The full-screen touch keypad on the Oregon is much faster to use. The second is from a 60CSx and has been enlarged to reflect the relative physical size of the screens on the two units. It is a design that has been refined over a number of years and is the definitive outdoor GPS in the Garmin lineup. Navigating the menus and typing on the on-screen keyboard is non-trivially difficult. The only complaint is the cases they make for them, very cheap and they do not fit the unit well. When you need to enter text for a search or a waypoint etc, a keypad pops up on the screen.

When this is enabled, in the GPS Setup page, the data card in the microSD slot appears as a drive letter on your computer. I have to agree with most people. It even get a pretty good signal inside my house.

I have had both an Explorist and this unit. This is the support 60cx for OpenStreetMap. The user-interface is easy to use and learn. Drove to a big retailer and bought a 64st to get through my hunt.
